Both feeder cattle prices and volume were lower following this weekend's fire at a Tyson packing plant in Kansas.

Feeder cattle prices and volume both took a big drop following this week's CME declines after the Tyson packing plant fire.

Likewise, slaughter cow numbers dropped lower at test auctions and the priced were mostly steady to $1 lower, but instances of up to $2 lower even though the cow meat prices improved.
