Volume for feeder cattle might be seeing a typical summer slump, but fortunately, prices did rebound.

Feeder cattle prices rebounded higher after last week's lower prices and were mostly $3-4 higher, regaining what they lost last week. Feeder cattle numbers continue to drop a little lower, which is normal during the summer months.

As far as slaughter cow numbers, volume was really similiar to the previous week. Prices continue to drop lower on the heels of lower cow meat prices and the slaughter cow prices were mostly $1-3 lower this week.
