It was a typical holiday week when it came to feeder cattle with much smaller volume so some of the weight groups actually did not have a good test for the prices. Also, the big cold front and storms probably limited demand especially on lighter weight, unweaned calves. The prices showed more deviation with some lower and some higher, but the Wednesday auctions did see some improving prices.
There were also smaller numbers of cows during the holiday week, which again is typical. The prices were $2-4 lower loosing what they gained the previous week when buyers pushed hard to buy ahead of the upcoming dip in volume.
