The daily spot Choice box beef cutout ended the week on Friday, April 17 at $238.99 which was $15.06 higher compared to previous Friday, as beef sales prices improved again with retail stores reordering products as plants are closing because of COVID-19 outbreaks. All of the major daily primals were $10-19 higher this week with the chuck and round leading the gains.

On the following Monday and Tuesday, the rib and loin skyrocketed almost $20 higher pushing the daily Choice cutout to $259.85 on Tuesday, April 21, which is the highest in the last 5 years. Last year, it was $233.65 the same Friday.
