There were big out-front sales this week aimed at Valentine’s Day with about 6 million pounds of ribeye and loin steak products booked. This is a normal seasonal event every year which provides a very large spike in out-front sales. The most recent Cold Storage report showed total beef up a little compared to the previous month, but well below last year.
