Box beef sales volume dips much lower than normal.

Prices continue to decline following normal midsummer seasonal trends and the weekly average Choice cutout was $6.32 lower at $220.50. However, box beef sales volume has been well below last year since the first of May, dropping about 4,700 total loads sold during the last 10 weeks compared to last year, while the estimated FIS cattle harvest has been higher each week.
