The daily spot Choice box beef cutout ended the week last Friday at $211.96, which was only $0.62 lower compared to the previous Friday. It still continues well over last year; the same day last year it was $203.25. The daily Choice loin primal dropped $1 by Friday but the rib primal was $3 higher, improving again for the fourth week. In fact, the rib then jumped $7 higher on Tuesday, October 8, which pushed the cutout $2.5 dollars higher on that one day alone. It turned around and started higher now which is very similar to previous years, but just a little earlier.
