U.S. to Receive Brazilian Beef Exports

USDA Food Safety Inspection Service (FSIS) has authorized the resumption of beef exports from Brazil.

FSIS authorized 21 Brazilian meatpacking plants to resume exporting meat products into the United States. The United States had banned Brazilian meat products for the past three weeks because of several discrepancies of documentation of beef shipments that had arrived in the U.S.

According to USDA officials, the matter has been resolved. Brazil can only export cooked and processed beef into the U.S.
