Axiota Animal Health, a global company focused on developing products to help cattle thrive during transition and stress, has announced the addition of two new sales directors. Tom Meyer will serve as director of the U.S. dairy team and Chad Hiatt will serve as director of the U.S. feedyard team.
Meyer will be responsible for overseeing and growing the dairy sales business. He joins Axiota following a 25-year career with Zoetis, where he was most recently a dairy senior area business manager. Meyer started his career as a feedlot manager and then entered the animal health business with The Upjohn Company.
“Tom brings a wealth of dairy knowledge and expertise to our team,” said J. Free, Axiota chief commercial officer. “More importantly, Tom has a proven track record of building high-functioning, successful sales teams that focus on customer needs.”
In his new position, Hiatt will be responsible for overseeing the feedyard sales business. He joins Axiota from Huevepharma where he served as strategic account sales manager, overseeing a team responsible for sales to large feedyards, dairies and feed manufacturers. Hiatt began his career in animal health distribution and then spent 13 years with Merck Animal Health in national and strategic account management.
“Chad’s history of success speaks for itself. He has a deep understanding of the feedyard and cattle business,” said Free. “He’s a proven leader and will be able to continue the strong momentum we have seen with Lactipro and help us prepare to launch new products.
He added, “It’s an exciting time at Axiota Animal Health as we position our company for continued growth. I am pleased to welcome both Tom and Chad to our team.”
Axiota Animal Health discovers, develops, and commercializes scientifically proven products, such as Multimi 90, LactiproNXT and LactiproFLX, to support the health and performance of cattle during transition and stress across all stages of beef and dairy production.
