BQA unveils new care, quality and biosecurity programs

There is lots going on with the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) program. During this week’s national convention, we talk with Josh White, executive director for producer education at NCBA, about:

 • BQA’s New Calf Care Program & Quality Assurance Program – This is the first collaborative educational tool that provides guidelines for calf raisers, and

• BQA’s Significant Inclusion in the Beef Industry Long Range Plan, focused on growing consumer trust for beef.

In addition, Dr. Julia Herman, veterinarian, beef cattle specialist, will be with us to discuss the New BQA Biosecurity Education Modules – detailing the basics of disease transmission and prevention.
