Hiltbrand will be responsible for leading implementation of domestic marketing plan.

Select Sires has hired Karen Hiltbrand as a marketing coordinator for the beef department. She will be responsible for leading implementation of a domestic marketing plan and development of beef sire directories, print advertisements, websites, videos and tradeshows.

“We are very fortunate and excited to add Karen’s experience and expertise to our team,” said Ryan Bodenhausen, associate vice president, beef product management and marketing at Select Sires Inc. “Her industry knowledge, design skills and past experiences in marketing roles will be very valuable as she carries out her new responsibilities at Select Sires.”

Hiltbrand hails from Seven Mile, Ohio and is a graduate of Oklahoma State University where she earned bachelor’s degrees in animal science and agriculture communications. Most recently, she graduated from Auburn University with a master’s degree in animal science. Hiltbrand previously worked in a communications role at the American Angus Association. She was instrumental in creating “Powered By Angus,” the organization’s current national advertising campaign. Her experiences range from journalism and graphic design to social media curation and website strategy.

Based in Plain City, Ohio, Select Sires Inc., is the largest global A.I. cooperative and is comprised of six farmer-owned and -controlled local organizations in the United States.
