Yamaha’s 2015 Viking is a three-person SxS vehicle, with a driver-directed four-wheel-drive system, automatic transmission and electric power steering. A unique cab configuration allows for pass-through bucket seating and maximum headroom without sacrificing ground clearance.
Automotive-style controls engage the 686-cc engine, while the three-way On-Command system features 2wd, 4wd and 4wd with differential lock, and is driver-controlled with an automotive-type rotary dial selector.
The rear steel cargo bed carries a fully loaded pallet, and the assisted dump bed can pack up to 600 pounds, while the standard 2-inch receiver hitch is rated to pull 1,500 pounds. The Viking features a minimum of nearly 12 inches of ground clearance, a skid plate front to back and side to side, and an optimized frame with upturned side rails to allow for smoother transitions over obstacles.
