Case IH DC3 series disc mower-conditioners are designed to improve drydown for better hay quality and higher profits. Depending on the model, these disc mower-conditioners are available in 13-foot or 16-foot cutting widths. To match your conditions, Case IH also offers three conditioning systems: rubber on rubber, steel on steel and flail.
A cutterbar design with wide discs cuts closer and cleaner, getting more hay in windrows and leaving less hay in the field. Larger-diameter discs improve crop flow and windrow consistency. With 125-inch conditioning rolls, operators can lay a wider swath for faster and more even drydown. This combination of larger disks and wider conditioning systems allows the crop to move rearward off the cutterbar sooner, improving crop flow and windrow consistency in tall crops.
Designed for easy, uninterrupted use, DC3 series disc mower conditioners have lightweight, impact-resistant plastic access doors, simplifying adjustments. Plus, alterations to the conditioners, swath doors and swath board can all be made tool-free. Thanks to the quick-change knife system, operators can quickly flip or replace knives without having to remove any hardware. This feature significantly reduces maintenance time. Additionally, innovative shielding minimizes the opportunity for material to build up, and a simplified drive system helps to reduce horsepower consumption and maintenance needs.
