Rain has returned to parts of the South and, while that’s a good thing, it may usher in a new flush of weeds for pasture and forage producers this spring. DuPont’s Roxy Gutschenritter is advising growers to begin checking pastures early to control winter annuals and early-emerging broadleaf weed species. Her comments came in an interview at the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association annual meeting in Nashville, TN.
