From a beef cookoff to a motivational speaker, Fort Hays State University is celebrating agriculture on campus, April 26.

Make plans to swing by Fort Hay State University April 26 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm in the Quad for a free luncheon and special events celebrating agriculture.

Attendees can taste and vote on their favorite beef recipes in a competition hosted by the beef production class. Following the cookoff, learn more about beef cattle through the informational display.

A water quality demonstration will be conducted by the soils fertility and fertilizer class, as well as demonstration on milking a cow, hosted by the dairy club.

Join the men of Alpha Gamma Rho to guess the weight of a cow, with proceeds of the contest benefiting the Kansas Food Bank.

Learn about potatoes with fun facts provided by the agronomy club.

The Kansas, Ellis County and Collegiate Farm Bureaus will also be serving hamburgers, hotdogs and ice cream.

End the day of agriculture fun and listen to nationally recognized speaker, radio personality and rancher, Trent Loos, in his presentation, “Where Your Food Comes From.”
