Improved pour-on container

Noromectin Pour-On brand of ivermectin, a popular product of Norbrook Laboratories, Ltd., debuts an improved package in time for fall deworming season. The new 5-Liter and 2.5-Liter containers have easy-grip flanges on all sides to facilitate handling and are made of a denser polymer material that improves cap closure. The new containers will continue to be supplied in a protective carton, with a convenient carrying handle, a webbed backpack strap and applicator cap.

Although the packaging has changed, cattle producers will still find the same effective treatment for a wide range of internal and external parasites at an economical price.

Featherlite offers new flooring

Additional options on 2012 Featherlite stock trailers help maximize comfort and convenience for both owner and animal. Emerging as the popular option for 2012 is Rumber® flooring. Made from 100% recycled tire and rubber plastic, the floor provides cushioning for livestock, is water- and UV-resistant, and helps reduce noise when livestock enter the trailer. Another flooring option, Featherlite’s Firm-mat, completely seals the trailer’s floor and provides a slip-resistant surface.

Other options for 2012 stock trailers include a camera and rear motion sensor, aluminum wheels, and an EZ Connector system.

Best drive-train durability

Yamaha’s all-terrain vehicles (ATV) and side-by-side (SxS) vehicles have the most durable belt-driven drive train in the industry, according to a third-party study conducted by ADP Lightspeed, Salt Lake City, UT.

ADP Lightspeed performed the competitive comparison study of continuously variable transmission (CVT) belt components reported in warranty and non-warranty repair order records for 2007 to 2010 model year CVT belt-driven 4x4 ATVs with engines 400cc and above.

Yamaha’s Ultramatic® automatic transmission system features an exclusive centrifugal clutch that allows the drive belt to remain under constant tension providing a key point of durability, Yamaha says. In addition, an exclusive one-way sprag clutch not only aids durability but also provides the most natural-feeling, four-wheel engine braking for maximum traction and rider confidence, Yamaha says. This exclusive system is used in Yamaha’s Grizzly 700 ATV, Grizzly 550 ATV, Grizzly 450 ATV and Rhino 700 SxS vehicle.

Manure treatment

BiOWiSH™ Manure & Odor Treatment provides beef and dairy producers with a 100% natural product for effluent management and odor control. The blend of biocatalysts breaks down complex organic molecules to prevent the need for costly pump-outs, and can assist in reducing odor emissions and managing nutrient loads in wastewater used to irrigate crops and pastures. In testing, sludge was reduced by half, and odors and emissions by 80%.

Faster, cleaner raking

New Holland’s ProCart™ deluxe carted wheel rakes are designed for fast, big raking capacity, making them the professional haymaker’s choice. Their individual floating rake wheels and newly optimized raking angles provide cleaner raking and help form uniform, easy-to-bale windrows. Each rake wheel uses a compression spring and linkage pressure system that allows haymakers to finely adjust pressure to the crop and field conditions. The cart’s uncomplicated folding design doesn’t require a tractor with a hydraulic-floating valve. In fact, operators can rake on either side, turn over damp windrows, or select “V” raking with a simple turn of the hydraulic lock valves.

The new ProCart models include the eight-wheel 819 model that works up to 18’ wide, the 10-wheel 1022 model that works up to 21’ wide and the 12-wheel 1225 model that works up to 24’, 6” wide.
