Approval for L. hardjo bovis
USDA has approved Titanium® 5 L5 and Master Guard® 10 vaccines for use against L. hardjo-bovis in beef and dairy cattle. Producers can now vaccinate cattle that are not pregnant or nursing with Titanium 5 L5, and all cattle five months of age or older with Master Guard 10. Both vaccines are available exclusively through AgriLabs distributors; Titanium 5 LB HB is packaged in five-, 10- and 25-dose boxes, while Master Guard 10 HB is available in 10- and 25-dose boxes. Charlie Higdon, AgriLabs’ business unit manager, says that while an “HB” has been added to both vaccines’ names, the vaccines’ formulations have not changed. He says producers can continue to use the vaccines already in their refrigerator, “knowing the cattle they vaccinate will receive the same protection against L. hardjo-bovis.”

Kuhn bale processor
Perfect for medium- to large-sized operations, the Kuhn Primor 5570 M bale processor distributes bedding in bedded-pack barns, as well as direct feeding of hay, silage and baleage. Capable of processing large square bales up to 8 ft., 10 in. long, as well as round bales that are 4-ft. wide and 6 ft., 7 in. in diameter, the Primor is a heavy-duty, trailed machine designed for lower-horsepower tractors.
The top discharge blower allows the operator to easily direct and control the spread pattern of the material at distances up to 60 ft. And, the Polydrive® belt system drives the feed rotor, which pulls material from the bale without overcutting, resulting in uniform material length and consistency. The exclusive Unroll System makes it possible to load up to three round bales simultaneously, without jamming or uneven distribution.
