Over night stock futures trade points to a higher open on Wall Street. Trade chatter suggests the Dow could top 11,000 after European finance ministers pledge $40 billion to Greece if it asks for lifeline.

Cash fed cattle. USDA reported that the majority of last week’s trading in all reporting regions was done Tuesday afternoon, with light trade the rest of the week. Demand was good all week. Especially in Nebraska, where some of this week’s show list was sold last week with top dollar in hand and the cattle slated for slaughter this week or next.

Weekly sales numbers per Mandatory Price Reporting; Texas Panhandle traded 39,172 and Kansas sold 37,528 head with both states fetching mostly $100 on live sales. Nebraska sold 65,752 head from $160 to $163 dressed and $100 to $102 live. Colorado sold 9,921 head from $100 to $101 live.

The previous week’s cattle sold at mostly $96 live and at $156 dressed.
