Ariat debuts a revolutionary men's Western riding boot

Ariat International, Inc., the leader in innovative Western and English footwear, apparel and accessories, announces the launch of its most advanced Western performance boot to date, the Catalyst VX, for men. Featuring breakthrough technologies and new engineering techniques, the boot offers superior performance advancements fit for the Western rider. The Catalyst VX will debut this Fall on www.ariat.com  and at retailers nationwide.

“The Catalyst VX is built with superior performance qualities and technical details that cater specifically to Western riders,” said Austin Condit, product manager for western footwear. “The construction allows for optimal comfort, longevity and protection to help bring riders to their peak performance.”

The full-grain leather boot is built on Ariat’s revolutionary Cobalt VX footbed technology, which promotes strategic body alignment for better stability and reduced foot fatigue. The technology is integrated into the insole, midlayer shank and outsole, covering every area of the boot’s platform. A VX Cradle insole provides improved arch support, while the gel forefoot and heel pods create cushioning and shock prevention. Additionally, the VX Duratread outsole is incorporated for greater flexibility and comfort.

Crafted with the avid rider in mind, the Catalyst VX features Patent Pending Stirrup Guards on the boot’s exterior to minimize wear from stirrups, an in-molded Spur Grip to eliminate spur movement and an under-slung heel that helps keep the stirrup in position. Protective ExGuards in key wear zones provide further protection for extended use. Additional features include: Ariat’s patented U-Turn construction for ease of entry, a leather lining with X-Static sock liner and a padded shaft collar for protection and comfort.

Retailing at $299.95, the Catalyst VX will be available in Fall 2014 at Ariat retailers and on www.ariat.com .
