Ed Czerwien, USDA Market News reporter in Amarillo, TX, provides us with the latest outlook on boxed beef prices and the weekly cattle trade.
Another strong week of out-front beef sales pushes the total sales volume over 7,000 loads for the fourth straight week. The out-front sales averaged 1,625 loads per week during the last four weeks, which compared to less than 700 loads per week during the end of July and beginning of August. That extra 900 loads per week helped put total box beef sales over the 7,000 load count each week.
