June 4, 2019
After a long winter and a dreary spring, we are so grateful for sunshine, green grass and our cow-calf pairs on pasture!
It’s my favorite time of the year and I love grabbing my camera, loading up the kids and tagging along with my husband Tyler to drive through the pastures and check out how the spring calves are growing.
In my mind, there’s no better way to end a summer day — together with my family on our ranch, where we can enjoy the peace and beauty that nature has to offer.
As we kick off June and the summer grazing season, I am excited to announce a brand new contest in partnership with CYSTORELIN and SYNCHSURE from Boehringer Ingelheim titled, “Picture Perfect Pairs.”
How do I enter?
We will be accepting entries for this contest from now until 8 a.m. CST on June 12.
To enter, simply email me at [email protected] with your photo, image title and mailing address. One entry per person, please.
Finalists will be announced June 13 and voting for our champions will run June 14-19. We’ll wrap things up with the winner announcement on June 20.
What could I win?
We will once again select four top photographers, who will each receive a $50 VISA gift card, courtesy of our contest sponsor, BIVI. These winners will be determined by our voters, who can select their favorites each day during the duration of the voting period.
What types of photos are we looking for?
With the theme, “Picture Perfect Pairs,” we are looking for images of maternal mama cows and their growthy calves. Maybe these pairs are peacefully grazing. Perhaps the baby is nursing. You could submit images of calves in creep feeders, cows calving, scenic herd views or even your family’s perfect pair — spouses working together on the ranch or siblings employing teamwork to get the job done.
The sky is the limit. Be creative and show us your best shot! I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Also, be sure to check back often for inspiration as we will be uploading images to a photo gallery as they are received.
Good luck and thanks for your participation!
