Max Armstrong shares news on a new tool to stop a serious honeybee pest

Max Armstrong reports on colony collapse disorder, but there may be a breakthrough with news of a potential way to control a bee pest – the varroa mites. The news comes from Washington State University where work has been done with a fungus that can be used to control the mites, which are a small parasite that live on honeybees. They're considered a cause of Colony Collapse Disorder.

Farm Progress America is a daily look at key issues in agriculture. It is produced and presented by Max Armstrong, veteran farm broadcaster and host of This Week in Agribusiness.
