Traditional flame resistant (FR) apparel tends to be stiff and heavy, Ariat worked with Polartec to use Polartec FR fabrics that perform like athletic fabrics, in designs that function like work wear.

The company has won Polartec’s prestigious Apex Design Award. Every winner receives the coveted Malden statue, an industry award unlike any on this world. Malden recipients will forever be the embodiment of Polartec fabric innovation and design inspiration.  The Flame Resistant Work Tek Pullover & Hoodie will be available online and in stores fall 2014.
