Durango, a division of Rocky Brands, Inc., is assisting victims of breast cancer by donating $2 per pair sold of its Pink Ribbon western boot, up to $35,000 annually, to the Columbus, Ohio-based Stefanie Spielman Fund for Patient Assistance.
“The effects of breast cancer are felt all over the world but we are especially conscious of the Durango associates and consumers close to home who are affected,” said Kristin Dille, Durango Marketing Manager. “The opportunity to partner with the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Patient Assistance allows us to lend our support to patients and their families as they fight to give cancer the boot.
”Durango’s western boot is part of the Lady Rebel collection and features a translucent rubber graphic outsole with a pink ribbon graphic. The boots are extremely lightweight, constructed with a cushion flex insole, tempered steel shank and rolled shank area. A contoured, ventilated, removable cushion footbed, dual - density rubber outsole and molded EVA midsole ensure maximum comfort for long wear. They have a suggested retail price of $144.99.
In 1998, Stefanie Spielman was diagnosed with breast cancer at the young age of 30. At that time, her husband, Chris, was a football player in the NFL. Stefanie and Chris realized they could use their unique situation to do more so they created the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research. Knowing treatment can create more than physical demands, they also started the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Patient Assistance to provide assistance to breast cancer patients and their families who may be experiencing financial challenges associated with treatment
