Part 1
Max Armstrong and Mike Pearson are at the desk this week and start off with a conversation on blessed rain coming to West Texas with Todd and Nancy Whalen of KDHN Radio, Dimmitt, Texas. Next, Max talks with Bayer’s Jennifer Ralston about soybean research benefits. Mike Pearson talks markets with Brian Splitt of AgMarket.net to talk about the corn crop tour results that downgraded expectations. Next they talk international markets and soybeans.
Part 2
Brian Splitt of AgMarket.net rejoins Mike to take a look at target prices for sales in corn. Next up, the diesel market’s effect on everything else. In the Colby Ag Tech segment Chad Colby talks with Farm Progress Editorial Director Willie Vogt about some of most exciting things coming to next week’s Farm Progress Show.
Part 3
Max introduces two more segment from Farm Next, first a profile of Phospholutions a company dedicated to increasing fertilizer absorption, next is a profile of Corral Technologies, a fence that’s not a fence.
Part 4
Max and Mike start off segment four with a conversation about Farm Progress Show expectations and then they introduce the latest Plan Smart Grow Smart segment.
Part 5
Agricultural Meteorologist Greg Soulje returns to take a look at the long-range weather picture.
Part 6
In Max’s Tractor Shed, Max introduces a 1959 Allis-Chalmers D 17. We don’t see a lot of Allis-Chalmers but when we do, they really stand out. In the FFA Chapter Tribute Mike talks with Tristann Burks, past Kentucky FFA State Sentinel. Burks looks back on her recently completed term celebrating the connections and friends made across the state.
